Fasting may be a relatively new concept to you. You may have heard all the good things about it and the improvements it could make in regards to your health, that you’re willing to try it out.

The Different Types of Fasting
There are many different types of fast that you could do. They may include:
Regular Fasting—this is the traditional type of fast and one that is often used during religious practices. During this type, you abstain from eating any food, but can still drink water and fruit juices.
Partial Fasting —this type usually refers to omitting a certain type of food for a set period of time. For example, you may choose to give up meat, and solely live on fruits, breads, and vegetables.
Full Fasting—during a full fast means, you forgo any food and drink during your window. This type of fast is done for religious reasons to get people closer to the Holy Spirit and cleansing their soul.
The last type of fasting —and probably the most popular—happens to be the intermittent fasting approach.
This kind, where you voluntarily abstain from eating food for a set period of time (usually 16 to 24 hours), adds improvements to your health.
This approach has quickly spread in popularity, thanks in part to the health benefits you may experience.
Intermittent fasting has been shown to:
• Shed body fat and weight
• Stabilize and control blood sugar
• Improve symptoms of type 2 diabetes
• Boosts memory and concentration
• Improvements in your heart health
• And many, many more benefits
Besides the wonderful benefits you may see from intermittent fasting, it’s unlike most of the diets around.
Most diets are hard to follow and are unsustainable. But intermittent fasting is totally sustainable and simple to follow.
It’s broken down into two different windows:
A fasting and a feeding window.
During the fasting window, you voluntarily avoid eating anything that contains calories. The reason for this is pretty simple.
During digestion, your blood sugar rises, leading to increases in insulin to match the sugar in your blood.
This leads to sugar being used for energy or being stored as fat. But, since you’re not eating any calories during your fasting window, this means there will be ZERO increase in blood sugar, which prevents increases in insulin levels.
Your body is then able to utilize the stored energy from your muscles, body fat, and liver, therefore helping you to lose weight.
And this could add other impressive benefits to your heart, brain, and overall health.
There is a way to enhance your fast and make it a much more pleasant experience.
And that is by including tea during your fast.
Next to water, tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world. Once only popular in Eastern countries, it is now one of the most popular drinks here in the US.
