Green Tea Fasting

Have you ever noticed that diet plans come and go? What was once a popular plan—and had some pretty impressive results—has been replaced by something else?
Well, there seems to be one plan that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
That would be a fasting or the intermittent fasting plan. This plan, where you alternate between a feeding and a fasting window, is probably the hottest weight loss plan on the market today.
And for good reason!
Not only does it do the job when it comes to stripping away belly fat and helping you to lose weight…
…it also works to improve every other aspect of your health.
But here’s something that you may not know:
Even though the intermittent fasting plan is hugely popular and quite effective, there is a way to improve your results to make it even better.
And that would be with green tea fasting!
You may be asking why?
Well the reasons are pretty simple:
The antioxidants, polyphenols, and catechins (namely EGCG) have been shown to enhance your fast by providing powerful nutrients to your body that may ease hunger and cravings, accelerates fat loss, and safely detoxifies your body.
Combined with the intermittent fasting plan, green tea fasting could accelerate your results and make your intermittent, or fasting plan, a lot more enjoyable.
The Nuts and Bolts Behind Intermittent Fasting
If you don’t know about intermittent fasting, you’re about to get a crash course on this immensely popular diet!
This plan combines both a fasting and a feeding window. During the fasting component of your plan, you voluntarily avoid eating or drinking anything with calories.
Although this fasting window could be short (less than 2 hours), most people opt for the 16/8 approach, which means you fast for 16 hours and you feed for 8 hours.
This gives your body the time to repair and cleanse it of damaged cells, plus allows your body the time to dip into its stored energy reserves, or your fat cells.
It also gives your liver a much needed break, allowing it to rest and repair cells, and detoxes your blood from toxins that could be stuck in your body.
Now, as previously mentioned, when you’re fasting, you’re avoiding anything with calories. Again, this gives your liver a chance to rest, and forces your body to use stored energy in the form of your stored fat.
But what happens if you do have something with calories?
A lot of people find the fasting window to be difficult to handle—due to the lack of food for such a long period of time.
So they have certain juices or drinks to appease the hunger, so they can make it through the fasting window.
However, this presents a major challenge—since you’re not really fasting. But if you do need to have something during this time to keep hunger at bay, a good rule of thumb to follow is to keep your caloric intake under 50 calories.
Keeping to under 50 calories, keeps your liver from starting to function. Once your liver turns on, and starts storing foods, you’re technically out of your fasting window, so the weight loss and other health improvements may stop altogether.
So how you can you last through the fasting state and keep your liver from kicking into gear?
The answer is very simple:
Green tea fasting! Green tea has many different benefits when it comes to improving your health and pushing you through your fasting window.
Not only does it have the ability to keep cravings at bay, it could also enhance your fast, therefore making it more enjoyable and working more efficiently.
The Benefits of Green Tea Fasting
Green tea, which has been a staple in Eastern cultures for thousands of years, is quietly becoming one of the most popular drinks in the Western world.
It has surpassed coffee and alcohol in terms of popularity, with millions of people sipping on one or two (or more) cups each day.
In fact, next to water, green tea is the second most consumed beverage in the entire world! That’s saying something special about this drink.
Now, when it comes to intermittent fasting, green tea fasting has quickly become an easy add on to improving your results.
How does green tea fasting improve your overall results?
If there is one thing that shuts down a fasting or intermittent fasting plan, it would be hunger and cravings.
Sometimes that rumbling in your belly is the only thing that you can hear and feel, and there may be little you can do to stop it.
Green tea fasting may help! Studies show that green tea may lower ghrelin levels, which could stunt hunger and cravings during the fasting window.
Ghrelin, which is considered to be the “hunger” hormone, was reduced from 621 to 529 when green tea was given during one study.
This could show that the catechins found in green tea could lower hunger pangs and shut down cravings, making it much easier to make it through you fasting window.
Boosts Weight Loss
When you go on a fasting or intermittent fasting plan, you do so with one thing in mind:
Weight loss. Even though this plan does boost your overall weight and body fat loss, it does so thanks to the lower calorie intake.
But green tea fasting may increase those results. According to numerous studies, the combination of the catechins and caffeine in green tea could increase your metabolic rate by as much as 4 percent!
Your metabolic rate, which is a measure of how many calories you burn, dictates how much weight you will lose.
A slower metabolic rate will lead to less weight loss.
Even though a 4 percent increase may seem trivial, having that 4 percent increase constantly occurring could lead to some dramatic increases in your weight loss.
The Take Home Message
The hottest diet plan on the market today happens to be the intermittent fasting plan. It’s been shown to not only boost your weight loss, but it may improve your health in many different ways.
But including Green tea fasting could improve your fast and accelerate you results. Not only does it reduce hunger and cravings, it may accelerate your metabolism, helping you to burn more fat.
Plus, it may also safely and naturally detox your body, giving your liver a chance to rest and repair itself and other organs in your body.
There is only one green tea fasting brand that we recommend. And that would be Amla Green Tea. This tea rushes the nutrients your body needs when the time is right.
If you’re looking to start an intermittent fasting plan, and you’re looking for the right green tea fasting product, than Amla Green Tea should be the first one on your list.
