The hottest diet on the market today is the intermittent fasting plan.
This plan, which involves a feeding and a fasting window, has been shown to be one of the most effective plans for losing weight and improving your health.
However, you may be confused at what you can have while your intermittent fasting?
There are certain drinks that you can have…
…and there are certain drinks that you cannot have. Acceptable drinks to use while intermittent fasting include:
• Coffee (no added cream or sugar)
• Apple Cider Vinegar
Anything else is off limits, as it could mess with your fasting window, or the window of time that gives you the most benefits.
Now, if you’re a coffee drinker, and don’t think you can give up your slightly sweet and creamy caffeinated beverage during your fast I have some good news for you:
Fasting tea, which also contain plenty of caffeine, could actually go a long way to boosting and protecting your health during the fasting window.
Green Fasting Tea and Your Intermittent Fasting Plan
Intermittent fasting involves a period of negative calorie balance, where your body is actively burning more calories than you’re taking in.
On the plan, this is considered your fasting window. During this time, you purposely avoid eating or drinking anything that contains calories.
During your fasting window, you’re looking to utilize more of your stored fat as energy, which could lead to some tremendous health benefits.
This allows your body to repair cells…remove damaged cells…lower inflammation…and boost your overall weight loss.
But there’s only one issue that may arise during your fasting window…
Since you’re purposely depriving your body of calories, you may find yourself hungry, and cravings may be through the roof.
And that is why people combat this by including drinks into the fasting window.
But there is only one issue with choosing the right drink for your intermittent fasting plan.
You see, during the fasting window, you’re liver is “asleep” as your body uses stored fat for energy to keep your body moving.
That’s why it’s recommended if you need to to eat or drink something, that it only contains 50 calories or less.
The reason for this is to keep your liver from working. Any drinks that are over 50 calories could increase your liver function, therefore shutting down the fasting window.
So how are you supposed to make it through the fasting window without caving in to hunger and cravings?
That’s precisely where drinks come into play. For example, water (which contains zero calories) fills you up and tricks your body into thinking it’s full.
This eliminates cravings, while keeping your hydrated.
But there’s only one issue with drinking water: You’re not getting other nutrients that could aid in the repair process of your cells, while keeping your hunger at bay.
And this is where fasting tea comes in handy. Fasting tea, which we prefer green tea, has been shown to combat hunger and cravings, while simultaneously enhancing your fast and making it much more effective.
Most fasting tea suppresses appetite, therefore making your intermittent fasting plan a lot easier to manage.
After all, you want to reap the heart, brain, and weight loss benefits of your fast, which could take years off your body.
Now, in order to rush powerful antioxidants to your body, we recommend the combination of green tea with the medicinal plant Amla, to offer even more powerful benefits and naturally reduce hunger pangs.
In fact, one of the founders of the intermittent fast plan believes strongly that combining a fasting tea with a medicinal plant, such as Amla, could help with long-term program adherence by eliminating hunger and supporting a person’s journey.
So what can you expect to see by including a fasting tea, such as Amla Green Tea, with your intermittent fasting plan?
The Powerful Benefits of Green Fasting Tea
Green tea, which is the second most consumed beverage in the world, has quickly become to go-to drink for those looking to do the intermittent fasting plan.
Packed with powerful antioxidants, green fasting tea could go a long way to bathing your cells with the nutrients they need for repair, replenishment, and refreshment.
Plus, when you add the medicinal properties of Amla, you may see a reduced risk for many of the chronic diseases that impact our world.
Even though most plans may recommend any old green tea, we don’t. We often recommend Amla Green Tea as the go-to drink of choice.
Not only will it give you the powerful benefits of green tea, you’re also going to get the medicinal power of Amla, which could lead to tremendous health improvements that go well beyond just weight loss.
In fact, here are some of the powerful benefits you may see from including Amla Green tea as your fasting tea:
1. Controlled Hunger
Fasting tea has been shown to control ghrelin levels, which is the regulator of hunger. The catechins found in fasting tea may lower ghrelin levels, therefore suppressing your appetite and controlling hunger.
Including fasting tea could be the simple hack you need to fast longer and to achieve far better results.
2. Boosts Weight Loss
The powerful combination of caffeine and catechins in fasting tea could boost your calorie burn and help you lose weight.
This combination has been shown to boost metabolic rate by 4 percent, which helps to mobilize fatty acids to be used for energy.
Studies show, by including fasting tea, you may lose more inches (body fat), without actually losing weight.
3. Detoxes Your Body
One reason why people fast is to help repair and eliminate damaged cells. This natural detox could keep you healthy, make you look younger, and keep all your organs functioning at optimal levels.
The polyphenols and catechins found in fasting tea could aid in this process, which could improve your overall and metabolic health.
The Final Thoughts on Fasting Tea
If you’re starting an intermittent fasting plan, than you may want to pick up some fasting tea to help ease the hunger and cravings associated with the fasting portion of the diet.
Although you may see tremendous benefits from intermittent fasting, some people may find it very difficult to manage, thanks in part to the hunger they may face.
By including a fasting tea in to your plan, you may see a natural suppression of hunger, improved weight loss, and even a reduced risk for many different chronic diseases.
Although there are plenty of fasting teas to choose from, we highly recommend Amla Green Tea. The powerful combination of catechins found in Oolong green tea leaves combined with the medicinal power of Amla could help you go longer on your fast, which could give you much better results.
If you’re looking for a way to enhance your intermittent fasting plan, then Amla Green Tea should be your go-to drink of choice
